Customer Care Representative- Commerce, CA
Elkay Plastics, a national leader in flexible packaging solutions for the industrial, food service & medical markets. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Care Representative in our Los Angeles location. The right candidate will provide excellent customer service, respond efficiently to customer inquiries and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
•Confers with customers to provide information about products and services or to resolve customer issues.
•Maintains records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken.
•Assists in resolving customers' service or billing complaints by performing activities such as initiating product exchanges, reviewing merchandise, processing credits, and adjusting invoices.
•Refers unresolved customer issues to designated departments or management for further investigation.
•Interacts with sales department, providing relevant information and support.
•Coordinates and assists the credit department with new account credit reviews and resolution of A/R issues.
•Reviews, audits and monitors credit transactions.
•Manage and interact to promote/maximize sales on House accounts - Monthly Gross Profit Dollars (GP$) Incentive program
Desired Skills and Experience
•High school/GED required (Associate degree in a business-related field preferred)
•Proven customer support experience
•Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
•Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
•Excellent communication and presentation skills
•Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
•Ability to remain professional and courteous with customers at all times
